    And now for something completely different: Violinist Jacob Lawson greatly impressed me the first time I heard him—and was a big hit the first time he was our Spotlight guest. Many in the audience were pleasantly surprised at the successful (yet unconventional) combination of violin and cornet.

    As an added treat, Jacob will once again perform on the violin which belonged to my late grandfather (Nick DeCarlis, for whom I am named), who played it in dance bands prior to WWII. It has a particularly dark tone, well suited for jazz. My grandfather was an ardent admirer of famed jazz violinist Joe Venutti, so this will be a special evening as we re-create the sounds of that era.

    More about Jacob Lawson: He is a violinist, producer and composer who has recorded with and composed arrangements for best selling recording artists including Guster, Sixpence None-the-Richer, Jars of Clay, Ce Ce Winans, Vienna Teng, and Venus Hum as well as dozens of other major label artists. He has performed with these and other artists including Tim McGraw, Jill Sobule, and Richard Julian throughout the US and Europe and has appeared in broadcast on the BBC, MTV, Vh1, CBS, ABC and NPR. As a composer his clients have included David’s Bridal, Shakespeare and Co., Haus, George St. Playhouse, Cellfish, Jumping Giant, and Spork Productions. He scored the award winning film Fray, and was a contributing composer for the films Boy Wonder, Kartellet and the animated series The Passion of Jimmy.

Terry is one of Orlando’s best-known musicians on tenor sax as well as clarinet.Terry is the Leader of the world-famous Tommy Dorsey Orchestra which has just   completed their US and international tours.   • Amore In a Bottle

    Just in time for the holidays, Francesca's has started bottling their signature Marinara and Tomato Sauces, along with Minestrone and Pasta e Fagiole.  This is the very same sauce we serve here in the restaurant, slow simmered and bottled the same day.  

    Our bartender, Chris, who has a love of design, drew the picture of the building to resemble an old villa and designed and printed the labels for us.

    We are producing in small batches and they go very quickly. More work for the Chef!
